The Big Screen Switch Off

I’ve created a set of lessons for year 5/6 teachers in primary schools to introduce what Artificial Intelligence is, what it isn’t, and how to approach it safely and ethically.

I thought I’d post it on here as you may be a parent who would appreciate finding out a thing or two about how we should approach this with our children.

In the true spirit of screens off, there are some ‘unplugged’ activities (well, if you can print off the PowerPoint slides that is!) that offer some explanation as to how Large Language Models and machine learning works.

Even if you don’t show the kids anything from this, have a read anyway as it might help your own approach, for example, using AI to enhance your thinking, not replace it!!
